Check the keyboard path through a form
A form needs to work as a complete interaction. For a practical check, put the mouse aside and follow the path from the first field to the feedback after submission. Include selection controls, instructions and corrections.
Follow the actual workflow
- Trace the order of focusable elements.
- Check that the current focus remains visible.
- Operate every choice and action button.
- Trigger an error, correct it and complete the operation again.
Dialogs and dynamically added fields are particularly revealing. Focus should not disappear into a hidden area. After a dialog closes, continuing the task should remain understandable.
This walkthrough is a concrete quality-assurance activity. It does not replace a complete accessibility assessment, but provides reproducible findings and useful regression tests for central user tasks.
