PDF parser and OCR integration development
GSWE develops custom processing for incoming PDF documents, combining text extraction, OCR or AI where appropriate, business validation and handover to ERP or business systems. Uncertain results enter a traceable review workflow.
Description
Processing turns incoming documents into structured records and routes uncertain results to a review interface. Only business-approved data is transferred to the ERP or target application. Describe your document types, target system and current manual work to GSWE. Representative examples can be supplied through an agreed transfer channel.
Depending on the agreed boundaries, the concrete scope covers: PDF extraction, OCR processing and manual review of uncertain results.
Approach
Distinguish PDFs with text layers, scanned documents and files containing structured data. OCR is not necessary for every file. Validate extracted information against a business schema: are required values present, do totals reconcile and has the record already been processed? AI can help with variable documents but does not replace validation. Uncertain or conflicting results should not automatically create binding transactions. Together we define the first delivery scope and verifiable acceptance criteria.
Outcome
Manual transfer from PDF documents is supplemented or replaced by an auditable data flow. Originals, extracted values and corrections remain traceable together. Business teams can assess value through processing effort and actual field accuracy rather than a single headline recognition rate. Handover includes the implemented connection, agreed tests and documentation of operating responsibilities.
Technical details
For a parser engagement, GSWE builds a test corpus from your document variants and maps each target field to its source location. Text layers and OCR are checked separately by file type. Uncertain quantities or conflicting amounts enter review; only approved records reach the ERP adapter. Evaluation measures field-level errors and correct transfer into the target system.
